FFXIII on 360 - Huzzah!

I could not have wanted to head anything else this E3, the game that will no doubt be one of the best on this generation, Final Fantasy XIII will not be a PS3 exclusive, it will be available on the 360, meaning I will not have to spend £300 or so on a new console for just one game.
I mean, Final Fantasy games have always been the most talked about RPGs, the ones everyone bum, and now it's not going to just be confined to one system, its coming out of both 360 and PS3 meaning most people can experience and enjoy the game.

And to all those Sony fans who are complaining about this, all I can say is:

What does it matter if it is not exclusive?
It is not asif they have scrapped it being on the PS3 alltogether.
What does it matter what console other people own if you yourself have the one you want; and so why should it matter what system they buy and play FFXIII on, as you shall have it on the console you want and play it as you wish.

This move means more gamers can enjoy what will no doubt be a fantastic game without having to spend £££s on a new system, just to be able to play it. It means you will have more people to be able to discuss the game with aswell, and financially, it makes Square Enix better off, so why would they not do it? It's not as if they can only make games for the PS3, is it?
~D_Buggy

Life is hard...

Yeah, life's tricky.
Have you ever noticed that when you are kneehigh in doing crap you don't want to do, you pray for holidays and the time to do things you want to do.
But the thing is, when they come around, you have nothing to do? You end up wasting your day away with a lie in until mid afternoon, and then just spending the rest of the day with some mildly interesting TV or Computer fix.

Why can't you have the breaks when you feel there are things to do and the work when you are bored? Jeez life is backwards.
~D_Bug

The Future's Bright

Anyone watching Euro 2008?
If you have been you'll know how the Netherlands are storming the show, beating France and Italy very convincingly 4-1 and 3-0 respectively.
I was thinking Germany would be the stars of the show, and they startedpossitively, but the dutch are just waltzing it!
And so I made this picture, to depict their brilliance

~D_Buggy

What should I post about?

No, I don't want suggestions, but honestly I've noticed lately the inability for people to make their own decisions.
I don't know if it is just the inability to search for yourself, look for yourself or even have your own opinion, but there are more than enough people asking what whatever it is they want they should get.
Now feedback is fine, if it is something crucial you need, say you are a novice guitarist and don't know what a good starter guitar is.
But when it gets to the point of what you should get for Christmas... I just can't understand it.

Surely you know better than anyone else what it is that you want?
Why do you need to ask someone else what it is that you should want, or should get?

I'm honestly scared at some peoples lack of decision making. What's it going to be like when they want to get a car, will they ask the salesman which they should get? Obviously they are going to say the most expensive car so they make money. It's a joke, and it doesn't spell out anything good for the nation.
We will soon be a nation who has to ask everyone what we should do, we won't know what it is we like or want and so will fall into chaos and a wreck where the few people manipulate what it is people should want and do; and being clueless, they all follow.

Make up your own minds people, you should know what it is you want most, or at least be able to do a bit of background research into what best suits you.
~D_Buggy

Wemberleeeee

Morgen Früh (Tomorrow morning, and very early might I add) I am embarking for Wembley.
Doncaster Rovers are playing the mighty *snicker* Leeds United in the league 1 play off final.
It's a massive day for the club and town, and I cannot wait for the game.
Who would have thought it, 10 years ago, that Doncaster Rovers would play in a Play Off final to get into the Championship, and let alone against Leeds.
It marks our progress and I just cannot wait for the teams to walk out onto the pitch.

I know a fair load of people reading this won't care about football, but it means something to me, so screw you.

COME ON YOU REDS!!
~D_Buggy

Money

Money money money money money.
Moolah, cash, dosh, brass, whatever you call it, it's a load of crap.
All the time I remember what money leeds people to do, and what they then end up wasting it on, and it just makes me think, "What's the point"
Yes I know we need some material to exchange for goods, and I know that money is the most logical as it is an equal level of trade.
But I have none, and this enfuriates me when I see things I wish I had, and then there are people who have it and waste it on rubbish.

Also another thing about money, is the Euro.
The idea may work on paper, but surely for the economy of some countries it is far from beneficial. The need to keep within a bracket so as not to corrupt the currency, and there are others at the other end of the scale who drag it down.
Surely it would be better fo us to stay independant with Gour good old Pound Sterling.

And finally, why do some items cost so much? They cost little to manufacture, but we are still ripped off with them by gross proffit margains. Surely there should be some international sorp. set up to monintor the ethic price of goods to make sure we all get a fair deal and are paying what it is worth.
Ad don't get me started on petrol tax...

~D_Buggy

Oh ho!
Oh AVG...

Oh isn't AVG7 Free ever so clever?
Why, with the latest update it thinks that more files that are more than 3years old are viruses, especially games.
Take Final Fantasy VII, for one example. Out of the blue, now that it has updated, it believes it to be a trojan, a worm in disguise.
Now, I'm all for taking precautions, but this is ridiculus, and there is no way to sort it out so you can play the game, other than by uninstalling AVG.
Now, this isn't a one off, my friend has the same problem. I have been on forums where people ahve encountered the problem with adobe products and such.
Surely Grisoft should sort something out, do they really want everyone switching to Avast?
~D_Bug

Alright, now this would just be legend.
I think that when you live, you should gain experience points, and on your birthday it should be that you level up and such; as is in an RPG.
Sod having a birthday cake, you would have a +1 Cake in your inventory, you would gain +10 height, +5 wisdom, +2 Strength, +3 speed, and you could learn skills and such.
I doon't care about sodding presents, I want to summon Bahamut ZERO, or perhaps be able to perform a limit break and such...

That's jsut my opinion on it all, at least...
~D_Bug

FFVII

I don't know about anyone else, heck that is if anyone reads this entry, but FFVII hasto be one hell of an addictive game.
Now, I know that people say tetris is the most addictive game, well yes, that is because it is simple and you can play it forever. But with FFVII, there is a story, and it is more a game than a book.
Now isn't this what gaming is about, having fun but getting so emersed in the story you forget about everything else, you are just abosorbed by it, and so addicted that you have to go back on it. I have never played a game with such a story and such fun to be a part of, much like reading LOTR.
It's so incredible how it is made, and nevermind the graphics, the gameplay makes up for it, the story then makes it even better.
People say it's overrated. But those people know nothing about what a game should be like, an interactive story, a complex tale that submerges you straight into it and captivates you and gets you hooked untill it is over...
~D_Bug

Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations
Ace Atounreuy: Apollo Justice

Both arrived this Saturday, KICK ASS!
The third is definately feeling like a step up from the previous game, and the trials already have some good feel about them. Can't get enough of that wonderfull Phoeney. He's like mustard, damn good.
Getting to do a trial as Mia was also a bit good, if you know what I mean.
But now I have FFVII, PW3+4, Fable, Sam and Max Ep4, HL2 (Plus episode 1 and 2), Theme Hospital, RCT3, FFVII probably and loadsof Wii games to complete. I've got no time for all my gaming, it's so annoying, why can't a day be like, 90hours longer or something.

Ohwell, at least I still have my sanity
~D_Bug

Slowing down...

It seems to me that life must be slowing down for everyone but me.
Service at both restaurants I have eaten at this weekend have had service slower than a bike going uphill without any gears.
Seriously, Mr Kahn's in Bradford took 2 and a half hours to have a frigging meal, including being served.
Then today at Felicini's in Sheffield, we had a table booked for 1:30, sat down at 2:50, left at 4:30 or later. They took bloody ages! It's ridiculous, they must be seriously slow as both restaurants had had tables reserved for us, so they have to have been prepared for us, surely.

Well, the universe is gradually slowing to a halt, so it could be due to that, and that it is slowing down in a logarithmic fashion and so it is speeding up at slowing down...

Or perhaps, I am just having an unfortunately slow weekend.
Nonetheless, weekends always go too fast, and come tomorrow I am back to school... damn
~D_Bug

What is a typical blog entry meant to be?
I mean, I haven't been doing this for very long, or read any good blogs, but seriously, what are they meant to have in them?
Are they meant to be full of wisdom? Or criticising things?
Should they involve rice in some way?

I just don't know, and can't even find the manual anywhere. But saying that, would I even be bothered to read it...

Now, I would keep an eye on guard for the time is coming where the least expected event will occur. Everyones nightmare will be happening and there is no time for deliberation for we must prepare and await it's coming.
~D_Bug

Best Game Openings

Something I love about a game is always the opening sequence. They shove you into a game and show you waht it's all about, what you have let yourself infor.
Now two of my favourites would be Monkey Island 3 (curse) and Grim Fandango.

Just see for yersen:
<lj-embed id="2" />

<lj-embed id="3" />

Sweeeet!
~D_Bug

Valentines Day

Whoever's idea it was to create valentines day should be hunted down and murdered brutaly. Not only is it so commercialised and everywhere that we can't escape it, but it makes fun of all the single people. And then the people who are in a relationship are leeched upon as they have to buy loads just to please, and then they get all the crap in return aswell! But single people are reminded they have nobody and nothing, as that is what they always get. The industry are just thriving out of people wasting their money and making the others feel crap.
Bastards.
Oh, and I suppose you may have a rough idea of how I feel about the industry and the day, well multiply that by 10 and you may just hit the spot.
~D_Bug

I have 8 fingers

I have 8 fingers, 2 thumbs, and 10 toes.
I also have a brain, and for that, I am glad. For should I not, I would be a scally, and I would go around acting like anyone without a brain does.
I have a nose, it can smell, and it is more sensative than my pallete. All the better for Whiskey tasting. If I didn't have a nose, I would also look odd, like a fish does. Having a fishface would make me like a merman, but the wrong way round. I always wondered what happened to the other parts of the two creatures when a mermaid/man was made... crazy thought.
I have 2 legs and 2 arms. My legs can kick, my arms can shoryuken.
I have 4 cheaks, 2 ears and 2 eyes.
I am man.
I am imperfect.
I am not over there.
~D_Bug

MEDIC!

Ah, the E button. The letter e is the most common in the English language, and is the 3rd key along the top row on a qwerty keyboard.
But in TF2, it is used to call for a medic, one very useful call. That is, if any medics can be bothered to come and heal you, which most can't.
For some reason aswell, most people never want to be the medic. But he is one of the best characters, he can heal others and the übercharge special is fantastic. His knife saw thing, a mega strong short range weapon. And his needle gun is just genius and hilarious (if you can use it well).
Finally, spies are tossers. It's so hard to be a good one, and it's so annoying to be fighting against one of them, when you lower their health loads, they go invisible and somehow manage to pop you one quickly and your dead. You deserve the kill, you dominated them, but they manage to stay alive and get you right in the back. But whenever I try to do that, I'm shot down straight away. How do they know I'm a spy, I say!
And now I leave you with the though of playing about 4hours a day, just to try and get better at the beast of a game (which I suck at)
~D_Bug

Complications

I don't know if it is just me, because that it may well be, but life seems to be very complicated nowadays. Not because of all that we must face, heck, if that were the case then life would be a damn sight simpler. No. We live in an exceedingly complicated society, nothing is straight forward, nothing is simple, and nothing - I repeat, nothing! - is benefiting us.
What makes life complicated now is the amount of choices, compulsory extras and needless benefits we have. Take mobile phones as an example. They were made the ring other phones. Then they texted other phones. Then they sent pictures. Then they took pictures. Then they recorded video. Then they had video conversations. Then they had the internet. Then they were MP3 players. Then they turned into PDAs. The list just goes on. A phone is meant to contact other people, not run your life with needless ad-ons.
But not only are they complicated, but they are expensive as well! For a device to contact other people, you can pay in excess of £150! What is the point, honestly?

Now, in our society, we face choices everyday and we have to accept that, but why must it be the many shades of grey, why can we no longer just have black and white decisions. Why must we always go off on tangents when asked a simple question, why must we be given unnecessary options when all we want is to be simple.

People also seem to be unable to give a straight answer, or at least converse properly. Adverts are a prime example of this. The word "hundred" seems to have been erased somewhere along the lines, so that adverts must phrase numbers by digits, not value. They must always skim over important facts but go on about needless things. And the most annoying of all is when they have people just shouting at you phrases, in hoping they will drive into your skull and be burned there permanently.
HI I'M BARRY SCOTT!
Yeah thanks, and I'm now deaf. ARRRRGH!

Why can't we just have adverts saying "Use this product, unless you don't want to, then we won't force you. We shall just laugh at your life without this product, and how inferior you are compared to us, who have used and bought the product. You know it is right to buy it, to support our company which exploits children in the developing world. Unless you don't like that, then we will open factories in Britain and exploit us here."
Oh wait, no, that's a bad idea as that would be the whole overly complicated point I'm trying to convey. See! It's even got into me and I must over complicate everything I say or go on about, when there really is no need at all.

Now, I fancy a drink. Should I go for a coffee? If I do, should I go caffeinated or decaf? Gold roast? Oh, and it best be fairtrade as well! GYRAGH! The damn over complicated choices. I want a damn coffee, not a bloody recipe and step by step instructions on how to rot your brain and kill yourself out of sheer despair!
Thankyou
~D_Bug

Ahright

Well, I've not posted here for the best part of a week, and it probably won't be for another week that I get the chance to post again; so I'm going to make up for it with 6days worth of nonsense, edited and cut down into one blog.

There is a lot of hate in the world, a lot of idiocity, and a lot of mirth. An example of this would be this site here
It is worth a click, just to see the worlds worst website for a multi-million, 9 figure costing project. It is the Hans Cristian Anderson Theme-park exhibition centre, shopping centre, business park, cancer research and whatever else they want scheme, that is going to be built in Yorkshire intime for the 2012 Olympics. But the website is so terrible it makes me wonder how serious these Danes actually are, and whether they have Windows 98 compatible computers yet to work on.
Another hillarious thing about this, apart from it being planned for Yorkshire, is that one of the locations for it could be Doncaster, my home town. It is insane that a theme park would be on my Doorstep, I mean I remember American Adventure failing and that was somewhere around here...

Another thing that has happened this week, is the discovery of channel 271 on Sky, Mainstreet. They have broadcast live Queen gigs, legend... unfortuantely they also broadcast Elton John and some terrible acts that it shames my planner for even showing their names... but Queen more than make up for that! But only just mind...

Also Doncaster lost to Swansea, but beat Leeds United, and Mark Selby won the Snooker Masters.
Oh, and current French banking makes Northern Rock look profitable :P
~D_Bug

POWWERR!

So, I'm addicted to my Powerball. "Surely it's just a gyro" I can hear you think, but it's no ordinary gyro, it's an addictive little bugger.
Seriously, when I'm on my PC now, the amount of time I'm trying to type one handed because I'm spinning this beast is ridiculous, but at least I can brag I'm spinning it at 11000+ RPM.

Another thing I have been addicted to, is Portal. It is definitely the best gaming experience I've had in a long time, and is defintely up there in my favourite games. It's a simple concept, and the levels are very logic, but it all just works. I mean, I spent 3.4hours completing the main game, but they are well spent hours, and I have to say that is the biggest downside to Portal, the fact that it is such a short game (barring all the bonus levels and such). I would have happily played on and on in the main mode and never complained; surely there has to be a sequel, I'm begging there to be; but I can see it being nowhere near as good...

Finally, the Snooker Masters final. Selby against Lee, two men who have each never won this title, and are playing a fantastic game. I'm hopping Selby wins, he's currently 7-3 up, and will probably end up posting a blog after it has finished, so keep your eye's pealed.
And if you have Steam, gives us a message, I'm up for a game, if my internet can handle it.
~D_Bug

Sweeeeet

Alright, so I woke up at a, albeit it belated, 11am this morning and after my shower the first thing I did was check the post for a certain package I was expecting to arrive. A certain orange package.
That's right folks, I've got the Orange Box, and I've played the games on it before and they are fantastic. But what is the first thing you want to do when you get a new game? Play it, right? Exactly.
So I put disk one into the drive, and go to install and all seems to work well... untill Steam crashes, great. It then seems to have installed them properly, but oh no, it then has to download the rest of them and this is taking some bloody time, as I do not have the worlds fastest internet, still running at 512Kb.
So I am just sat here, waiting to play Portal, waiting for it to tick over to 100% so I can play the full game, but it seems to just want to keep me here untill I go mad, honestly, it couldn't be any slower...

Next thing I do when I come online, is come onto ONM Forums, and as you know the new forum has been expected around now and, lo and behold, it's here! And my word, it looks good, definately with Ninty's new image. But for me, it's running slow, now that could well be due to Steam, infact, it probably is, but it's annoying. And then, I'm awaiting my mod controlls. Already I can see so much idiocity that needs locking, but I am being deprived of my privalledges =P
But on this new forum, I've been contemplating since pre-christmas time, should I return D_Bug TV? Would it return in good favour, I mean, I made a trailer and it got good responce for the whole 50views it got... but if I'm to do this, I'd like more than just 50 views (half of which are probably my own aswell) so I'm stuck for what to do... I mean Chris has his show now which is more popular that D_Bug TV ever was, so is it worth "competing" by running D_Bug TV at the same time... ah who knows.

So here's hoping to Portal installing pretty damn fast before I crack!
~D_Bug
